Alexis Born is a photographer and photography educator based in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

I’m Alexis, a portrait photographer drawn to people, story, and the quiet details that shape how someone shows up in front of the camera. My work lives in the space between fashion and honesty, creating images that feel considered, natural, and unique.

My style is bold yet natural, carefully crafted but never forced. I love working with creative teams and bringing a vision to life in a way that feels real. Whether it’s for brand campaigns or personal projects, I pour everything into making sure the final images mean something.

When I’m not working with clients, I’m directing Create Next, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting emerging creatives through education, collaboration, and hands-on experience. Working closely with young artists continues to shape how I see people and tell their stories.

At the core of everything I do is a belief in slowing down, paying attention, and creating space for people to be seen clearly and confidently. Whether I’m photographing a client or leading a room of creatives, the goal remains to create work with depth, care, and purpose.
